VICE on HBO is a documentary news series with a focus on the global affairs shaping our future. The brand consists of weekly episodes and quarterly specials produced through VICE's signature 'immersion journalism' model in which stories are filtered through embedded correspondents from around the world.
Our goal was to create a dramatic, cinematic abstraction of what Vice does each week: weave multiple threads into coherent and compelling stories. Various timelines reinforce the idea of simultaneous news feeds and different sources converging around an issue. It’s also a nod to the format: the assembly in the edit bay. Clips and headlines within the feed can be updated dynamically so each open becomes a custom piece, always in the wider context of Vice.
